RoverBall 2

unnamed

This is the eagerly awaited sequel to last year’s RoverBall, again organized and led by Justin Monnin of Lucky 8. Whereas the route of the first RoverBall was east–west, RoverBall 2 will take you from Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Big Bend National Park in southwest Texas.

From June 20–27, RoverBall 2 will take you over 1,600 miles of Americana, all paved or dirt roads. Justin told us the impetus for the event “was two-fold. We’re letting enthusiasts take part in another aspect of the Land Rover lifestyle, enjoying the majesty of America, from Lambeau Field to Amarillo’s Cadillac Ranch to Big Bend’s Black Gap Trail. The second reason for the sequel is to support ANARC’s many activities. All the proceeds from the registration will benefit ANARC and its many activities.”

To register, go to www.anarc.club. Every registration donation above $25 will receive commemorative items and the itinerary for the adventure. You can drive the entire distance, or join the convoy at the planned day and evening stops. Last year, over 300 enthusiasts enjoyed all or part of RoverBall. Let’s try and top that for 2026!

ANARC Stewards Program

The ANARC Stewards Off-Road Driving, Safety and Recovery Training in 2025 has already provided benefits for member clubs, as their Steward trainees have shared their knowledge with their respective clubs. For example, a “Technical Experience Area” at the recent Rovers at Wintergreen [VA], demonstrated safety, off-road driving and recovery skills taught at the Stewards Training, sharing the information with hundreds of enthusiasts.

ANARC is working to make its Stewards program easier for member clubs and their enthusiasts to access through new, online webinars beginning in Winter 2027. Program organizer Bob Steele anticipates there will be 4–6 webinars, each 60–90 minutes long.

ANARC plans on a 2027 Stewards Training in West Virginia in late March–early April 2027. For more information, check the ANARC website and their social media pages.

The Solihull Society’s National Rally takes place in Ouray, CO, from July 26–31. The organizers of this year’s event are working closely with Ouray town officials to map out an entertaining and enjoyable rally. As we go to press, five northeastern clubs – the Northeast Land Rover Club, Connecticut Rovers, the Massachusetts Rover Society, the Vermont Rover Club and the Downeast Land Rover Club – created their inaugural New England Bean Pot Rally. Thanks to ANARC Board member Bruce Fowler, the event will take place at the Sebasticook Millennium Green in Unity, ME, home of the Maine Winter Romp.
