This month witnessed Land Rover’s 75th anniversary celebrated at the ANARC [Association of North American Rover Clubs] Diamond Jubilee in Cortland, NY. The list of failed automotive nameplates is terrifyingly long, but Land Rover joins Lotus and Porsche – two other companies with significant enthusiast bases – in achieving the three-quarter century mark.

Fabuosly

Each Land Rover lineage – Series, Defender, Discovery, Range Rover and Freelander – possesses remarkable technical and engineering achievements, but it’s the owner/enthusiast who supports the marque by taking the fullest advantage of their vehicles’ capabilities

That’s why this issue of Rovers Magazine focuses on the enthusiasts we’ve met from all over the USA. Through the volunteer efforts of the organizers of the Maine Winter Romp, Texas Rovers’ SCARR, Florida’s Sand Rover Rally, and Virginia’s Rovers at Wintergreen, we’ve enjoyed the company of the most extraordinary people. Their range of backgrounds, professions, skills and interests renewed our admiration for their goals and quests, made possible through their Land Rovers.

It’s often noted that Land Rovers attract the most engaging and fascinating people, and we know there are thousands more of you that we’ve not met in person. Whether you’ve worked on your Land Rover[s] yourself, engaged with specialists or worked with dealers to select your kit, your Land Rovers reflect and make possible your ambitious adventures, regardless of scope and complexity.

We think you’re all Fabulously British, and hope to meet many of you at future events around the country.
