Vermont remains in the clutches of Winter as we go to press, but Spring beckons in much of the country. Whether March comes in as a lion or a lamb, we want to celebrate enthusiasts doing great things with their Land Rover activities, individually or in groups.
To honor his father’s legacy as a physician and Land Rover mechanic, Andrew Harris found a ’73 Series III in Idaho. He has completed a resto-mod on it and, as you read this, he’s driving it 2,000 miles to his new family home in Chattanooga, TN.
Cooper Murray, Riverside, CT, also grew up around Land Rovers. Today he drives his Rovers to the events he created, The Vineyard Series, on Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Charleston, SC, and Palm Beach, FL. DJ Harvey, Hudson, OH, took time out of his medical practice to start up the Cuyahoga Valley Land Rover Club, so his Series III could enjoy the company of other Land Rover owners in Northeast Ohio.
On a bigger scale, 22 Land Rover clubs across North America have joined ANARC, the Association of North American Rover Clubs. This year, ANARC will partner with Minnesota Land Rovers, the Pacific Coast Rover Club and the Gulf Coast Land Rover Club to assist with their events. Rovers North will provide trials course equipment and expertise for these gatherings.
If you live in or near California, Oregon, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina or Texas, here’s a partial list of upcoming events:
