Dear Rovers North,

Gulick IMG 5324

Rovers North has helped us keep our Land Rover Defenders rolling — and now they’re rolling down the aisle as well as down the trails. Thank you for being part of our off-road love story. We held our wedding at the Wintergreen Resort, the site of the ROAV Rovers at Wintergreen event.

Dear Rovers North,

Malone 3

Recently we traveled to Scotland to attend our son’s wedding to a Scottish lass and to spend a few days in the Highlands. In Edinburgh we attended the Royal Military Tattoo, performed across from the Royal Family’s Holyroodhouse Palace. I spotted these Land Rovers and Range Rovers; upon inquiry, I learned that these vehicles belong to Edward and his wife, Sophie, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. The Royal Couple made their grand entrance in one of the Range Rovers, slowly circling the performance center to an enormous ovation, then exiting their vehicle to their seats! Truly a Royal memory!!

Dear Rovers North,

Thomas Santoli

An artist in my neighborhood painted my Series III unbeknownst to me; my wife later saw it in an online gallery and bought it for me; I love it and the best part is now I have a Land Rover picture in the living room instead of just the garage.

Dear Rovers North,

Ducat IMG 8016

I bought this journal/sketchbook for my Dad to keep track of all things Land Rover! What a cool find at a Target, of all places, in Rhode Island. I wonder how long it will take him to fill it?

[We know your father as one of the most dedicated Land Rover enthusiasts in New England. I predict you’ll want to pick up a second volume for him soon -ed.]

Dear Rovers North,

On our most recent trip to England we came across this workhorse! It’s always nice seeing Landys out in the wild doing jobs.

[Land Rovers started out as workhorses. It’s quite special to see working Rovers today -ed.]

Dear Rovers North,

Huntley

We found this daily driver in Kenmare, Ireland, kept in fine form by the workshop at the Kilgarvan Motor Museum, in the village of Kilgarvan.

[What a perfect paint color for a delightful Series III. Thanks for the link to www.kilgarvanmotor museum.ie -ed.]

Dear Rovers North,

James Thompson

As always, when receiving Rovers Magazine, I go from front to back examining the articles and then look at Sightings. Many thanks, and I was thrilled to receive my Coveted Mug.

Dear Rovers North,

Calderaro

We thought of Rovers Magazine on our island visits in New England in August. We traveled to North Haven and Vinalhaven, ME, saw this one on Block Island, RI, and enjoyed seeing Land Rovers
on all the islands.

Dear Rovers North,

Heath IMG 4423

While working in Ganderkese, Germany, last Spring for Krane Media, we caught up with this trail worker and his Land Rover. We think it really captures the timeless adventurous spirit of the marque, and that it would appeal to your readers.

Dear Rovers North,

Kittell IMG 8433

At the recent Livingston [MT] Car Show, “Daktari,” my ’62 Series IIA 88”, was beaten out by an all-original Chevy Blazer with $2,000 work of factory options. “Daktari” sports the Rovers North heavy-duty tail gate with the Rovers North rear rubber mat. I would encourage every Series and dog owner to get one. No more tentative loading by your canine. The weight of the tail gate and the traction the mat provides gives you and your best friend security and confidence before embarking on your next overland adventure.

[Thank you for the recommendation and the pun -ed.]
